Default Help: Tein CS and EDFC installed, but something is missing

I finally installed Tein CS coilover and EDFC on my 95 SC4.
I installed EDFC by myself. Ride and handling is better than stock.

BUT, something is missing!

I don't feel the difference between damper setting 0 and 16.

I wiggled a little while I was driving 60 MPH. I don't feel the firmness or stiffness change even though I change the settings from 0 to 16 with my EDFC.

I know the EDFC motors are running. I can here them and I can feel them when I touch the top of the motor.
I followed the direction on the manual when I plug the motors on top of coliover. (turn clockwise three times and plug the motor. and turn one time clockwise and counter clockwise)

What can be wrong?
Should I unplug the motors and use the **** to turn it to test firmness?

Any suggestions? or tips?
Thanks in advance.

it should be a drastic difference between the settings....your EDFC is not working properly for some reason, either imporoper installaiton or defective product....im leaning towards improper installation. Take them off and adjust manually....you will defiantly see the difference.

I thought so.
I know that motors are rotating. (I verified before I put them in)
I will try to adjust them manually, see it makes difference.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I finally took the EDFC motors out and put the original control screw ***** back on top of two front TEIN CS. I tried both firmest set(clockwise) and softest (counter clockwise) set up. I don't feel the difference at all.

While doing about 55 MPH,
I tried change the lane quick on both set, felt same.
I tried wiggle the car in both set, felt same. (I can see the whole hood still rolling up/down when I wiggle, rolling is same on both set)

I turned the **** all the way until I can't rotate any more in both set (stiff / soft, 16 total clicks).

In the stiffest set, I was expecting stiffness like you hit your head on the side window when you change the lane quick and feel the road like you are riding a military Jeep . (Is my expectation too high with Tein CS?)

Let say my expectation was too high, but, don't I have to at least feel the diffrence between the settings? (stiffest and softest)

Tein master shop guy also couldn't understand it. He thinks that it is set to the softest and not changing to the stiffest set at all. (Maybe inside screw is not touch deep enough to push it down to make it stiffer)

He told me that 1st generation EDFC came with the replacement control screws (silver color) that was longer than what I have currently, so it touches the bottom deeper. But, what he is talking about is 1st Generation EDFC. If the coilovers are bad, what are the odds of both side (left and right) are being bad? This is brand new set that I got from GB.

or SC is a just heavy car and can't tell much difference of stiffness with TEIN CS?????

Why dont' I feel the difference between soft and stiff set?

Please help fellow CL members....

what's going on Ted!
hope all is well all the way in korea! hehe

but i could only tell a slight difference between the softest setting and the stiffest setting. On softest setting, the car seems to "float" a little more than at the stiffest setting. With that being said, I have / had mine on the stiffest setting for years now. I can barely tell if anything.

This is my first post in the SC Forum! I have a 98 LS400 and my EDFC is CRAP, I don't feel a difference either, maybe just psychologically I trick my mind into feeling a difference. I'm running the new black EDFC and the new black and gold Tein CS's. I'm going back to the shop to see if there is a difference.

Let me know if you discover anything.

How is it going? What's new on your car?
Thanks for your input. I think that CS is too comfortable to tell the difference.

Thanks for your post.
I think that CS is too comfortable to tell the difference. I did notice the diffrence just very very little between setting 0-16. I mean very very little difference.
You have to drive in the middle of night while no cars around you, set the cruise to 60 mph, and changing settings between 0 to 16 level while changing the lanes or wiggle (Left and right). I can just tell the very little difference (at the 0 setting, car is just little more stable for changing the lane).
But, you have to be very sensitive about it to tell the difference.

If I only see this much difference, I would just not get the EDFC (Save $300) and manually set to 4.

Let me know what you find out from the shop... Thx.
