Question Carbing Strut Tower Brace/ Bar on SC300?

Does anyone know if this will fit on a sc300 with stock 2jz-ge engine? :

http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/mercha..._carbstb.shtml

Will it clear the intake pluming over the 2JZ-GE engine?

If its for a MKIV Turbo it probably won't fit. It will clear the intake manifold, but there is this bracket above the idle air sensor/tp sensor that is in the way. It looks like the bracket can be removed, but I tried it and ended up stripping the screws.

Not sure if it's totally relevant or not, but here is a photo from another user's car which shows it fitting (tower bar may have been for a supra)

I think the issue is that one fits (TRD) and one may not (Carbing). I believe I read that the intake manifold + throttle body + intake piping is too high and rubs or makes it unable to install without spacers.

I maybe wrong someone give me a definite answer on this.

Thanks, I totally didn't catch that "carbing" is a brand . I thought it was a style of the bar. Never heard of them

Well since it is my engine bay, I thought I might go ahead and put my two cents in. Habitat is right the TRD bar will fit, but not without any added spacers. If you do not any spacers the bar will rub on the intake manifold. As for the Carbing, looks like from the picture above it will also fit.

I have the carbing bar, and i had to put 2 more washers from home depot on each post in order for it to clear that black piece above the intake mani

i heard you can take the little black cover off, but i havent tried to...its a nice bar and i get compliments all the time

Did you use spacers + washers to mount it? Or did you escape using spacers by substituting washers?
