$250 to install lowering springs 2IS?

The tanabe NF210 has that and they told me it was to eliminate the clunking. Now i believe them but why does this not apply to all eibachs. Some post clunking while like myself there is no problem.
Probably just luck.

I took it in and they called me back just now...
I asked them to take a look at wrapping the dead coils because I didn't think the bump stops would be causing sound unless I was bottoming out the strut.
They said once they wrapped the coils, the sound disappeared...... I don't know if they also cut the stops, but I'll find out tonight when I go pick it up.

do you or does anyone know of any good auto shops in the LA area (maybe around manhattan beach) where i can take my car to install an eibach spring kit? I asked a shop the other day and they quoted $300 for the install and based on what I'm reading, that sounds overpriced. Also another note, would anyone recommend changing the springs yourself and then taking the car in for an alignment? I'm wondering how complex the IS250's suspension system is because I've only worked on simpler cars.

I was more afraid of F-ing it all up to be quite honest. I'm pretty sure I could have done it, but on a $45k car, I'd rather have a little insurance that it was done right.

I cut my rear bump stops only cause the instructions said to, you prob dont have to, but it gives your shock more play before hitting the bump stop when you bottom out. Or you can leave it as other CL members have and give it extra coushining when it bottoms out. I would just follow the instructions like I did, afterall there should be a reason to cut it or else it would not be in the instructions right?
