some updates,
I took my car to a frame and alignment shop to diagnose, they told me the following:
- the car pull is caused by the front tires because when the flipped the front tires around the car pulled the other way.
- they also said that the rear track was off causing the car to not go straight.
- remedy, need front and rear alignment and also need to adjust the rear track.
how does this sound to everyone? is what they are saying valid?
i also asked them if i should replace the front tires first and then have them perform the alignments and readjust the rear track and they said that the tires would not affect what they were doing. is this right?

correct about tires... they will not affect the alignment so long as they are both the same size and approximately same wear... you could also just rotate them to the back - back tires don't cause pull, and so long as there are no separations, then there would be nothing to worry about for the mean time... so, do the rotation, and get the alignment done...
