I swear I will post a pic of that bracket that I didn't use. I will even send you the bracket if you want it. It is VERY basic.

I don't know if it does or not. I was told I would not even get these by board members, so maybe it does. Two members said I would get single piston LS400 but I didn't. Just makes sure they are 4-piston.

i never really understood why people bought used calipers on this forum for like 300+

autozone, napa, pepboys... they all have ls400 and supra calipers with core trade for like 70-80 for the pair... they are rebuilds from factory but i think its better than used

That's exactly why I set out to do this....and then to inform eveyone on here. But I don't think any of those have the Supra calipers (at least in my area — I asked) and it's more like 100-120 per pair.

Now the rears. I bought IS300 rears off ebay after two board members said they bolted right up (in all fairness neither member had done it). They DO NOT bolt right up. I made a simple bracket which can be picteured if anyone wants me to. These were 120 from ebay.

One broke after a fluke highway debris accident, and I again went to Advance auto and paid 80 (came with brake pads) plus 40 for the core. Again, I gave them my........
Enjoy.
yes please show us the bracket

i asked around at my local stores and they have to order the supra ones but they can get them.

they quoted me like 110-120 for those and after i exchange the core its like 80

i remember the supra ones were about 10 bucks more than the ls ones

I orderd some Supra Turbo calipers yesterday and paid $246.00 for both lft and right, including the $54 core charge. They had to ship them in and I will be picking them up tomorrow, the guy at napa siad that they are 4 piston listed for the Turbo model. I thought it was a waste of money to pay 300+for used calipers.

First of all, it's called piston not pistol. To find out how many piston a brake caliper has, look for how many round piston inside the caliper.

Take a look at the pics I posted. In the front, you see two rounded apetures. This indicates two pistons. Whenever you see two facing, there are two behind as well. In our stock brakes, you simply see a faceplate and a bar. This indicates NO pistons...the two pistons are on the other side, indicating a two-piston caliper.

For the rear, in my pics you see one rounded apeture facing you. This means there is another on the wheel side...TWO piston caliper. On our stock, there is just a bar with a single piston on the other side.

Ok. Here's the bracket. It is very simple. I just went to a hardware store bought a thick stable piece of metal measured to fit, lined up the stock caliper marked holes with a black marker, and drilled a half-inch hole for each bolt to fit IS caliper. (Holes 1 and 2 in pic.)

Another half-inch hole is needed to anchor the third bolt into stcok hole. I measured incorrectly thats why this one looks screwy.

As you can see, the two little holes on the end which I'll call three and four, are the ones I screwed up on. There should be ONE hole there, which attaches to the car's spindle.
