Default The suspension section is always so slow....

why don't more IS members upgrade their suspension or talk about it. I guess the lexus brand isn't notorious for being a well handling drivers car like a BMW or an Audi. I must admit I find the car pretty boring to drive even with coilvovers and 19s. My A4 and S4 were way more fun to drive.

what are you two talking about?? the OG is right about the suspension... it sucks that no one(companies or owners of the car) cares about suspension. theres alot more to suspension than coilovers or springs and i wish we had a bigger range of aftermarket products to choose from

Because this car is a luxurious one people don't bother modifying it with suspension because they will never need. If one person drives 60mph on the freeway and turn at 20mph, then won't need suspension. For those who need it suspension they will buy it. A lot of people might have suspension already, but don't bother posting it on CL.

Jesus some of you are very sensitive. Are you saying that an Audi isn't a "luxury car". I think BMW and Audi both have done a great job of making a luxury car that can perform. I am obviously not talking trash about the IS, Hell I own one, but it definately is not a drivers car. I think if you are going to make a car and call it a "sport sedan" it should have some "SPORT" characteristics. I put Tein CS coilovers on my IS and I like them, but it is hard to get advice and tuning suggestions when there are only a few other members on the board that have the same setup.
If you go to an audi forum there are dozens of people with many different setups. The audi handles better to begin with than the lexus and people still are more likely to upgrade the suspension.

everyone is different, the only reason why I put coilover on my car because i want to be able to adjust the height and retain the soft/smooth ride. I careless about handling and even I got Tein CS on my car, I really don't know much about suspension to be honest. I think my gf stock E46 handles better than my car with Tein CS now lol.

Becase "Most performance mods need a watch and timed course to demonstrate actual improvement. Few deliver the advertised claims. Many are actually worse than stock. The best performance mods are made to the driver."

You said it. Few do.

One of the reasons why there are not a lot of aftermarket suspension parts for the IS is because there is not enough demands and companies are not going to loose money in creating products that will make 500 people happy.
