Want the look of lowered, but not the stiff ride
My SC400 is sitting on 19" rims right now and it definitely needs to be a bit lower. However, I've gotten used to a comfortable ride on the SC stock suspension or maybe just a tad bit more stiff for performance. What would you all recommend for this scenario? Just lowering springs? If so, any in particular that you would recommend?

I was going to 'search' because I have the EXACT same question. I plan on lowering before the end of the year. But since its already been asked by someone else, I'm very interested in the responses..
I did a tiny bit of searching and found this link on the afore mentioned coilovers. Just thought it would save a lot of questions..

I'm not looking to spend too much money on suspension so I felt that coilovers would be going overboard, but maybe I'll take a look at it if you all really feel its worth the money. After owning a mustang gt for a few years, I'm not terrified of all cornering so I dont take turns quickly anyways where I would really benefit a very sporty suspension.

If you want a cheap way then get some springs! Although with most cars I think pre 2001 the pass side will be higher then the driver side and it will look wierd! That is why people get coilovers cause you have a wide range of settings and are best bang for your buck!

I am on Swift Springs. The spring rates are super forgiving: great for daily driving. At the same time, the performance is better than stock. The Springs run $350 in addition to any Supra shocks that you stumble across.
As a drop spring to preserve ride quality, Swift makes a hell of a product. The build quality is excellent. You can click on my sig to see the stance.
Given the quality product and the forgiving spring rates, I struggled to imagine there being a better marriage between comfort and looks in the drop spring market for the SC.
Another option to consider is H&R Coilovers. They are not stiffness adjustable, but they are height adjustable. The spring rates on the H&R coils are very forgiving as well. I have heard that they ride great. They run ~$1050 out the door...a far cry from the $1500 that Tein CS brings in.
