Default Rear Suspension Overhaul

I have completed half of the overhaul I wish to complete. Today I changed out the rear shocks, upper mounts, spring bumper, and the spring insulators. I have a 94 sc400 and ordered the parts made for the 97-00 model sc's. What a difference it made. My shocks apparently were completely shot. They wouldn't de-compress at all when compressed (which would explain the horrible ride quality in the rear. (All oem lexus parts except for the upper mounts which I bought from tire rack made by KYB,

One interesting thing to note the 97-00 model shocks are not made by KYB like in the previous years such as the 92-96? These were made by Tokico.

I still have to install the rear sway bar bushings. I also plan to order all new control arms and end links for the rear. I have already done this to my front suspension.

Is there anything in the upper mounts that would indicate that they are worn out? Or does the rubber within the upper mount just compress over time? One step closer to new oem lexus ride quality.
