I was thinking of getting the caliper stickers for my brakes when I noticed that the rear brakes on my 08 IS350 look different than previous years. I've seen many pics of the rear caliper accepting a round "L" (Lexus logo), but the 08 brakes don't have that same outer mold where that sticker will fit any longer.
I'm thinking of either 1) adding the white or silver sticker to the front brakes and leaving it at that, or 2) painting all 4 calipers black and adding stickers to the front calipers. Not sure.
Anyways, does anyone have any pics of their painted calipers or caliper stickers on their 08 IS?

Good idea, but don't really feel like dealing with taking the wheels off, taking the calipers off, having them custom powder coated, then putting everything back on, bleeding the brakes, etc etc etc.
Anyone with an 08 IS with painted or stickered calipers?

Keep in mind this is my opinion, and what you do to your car is entirely up to you....
Just leave the brakes alone, I'm pretty sure that with the 2 big chrome L's on the front and back of the car, one on the stearing wheel, and the lexus emblem on the driver side rear flank that most people who can read english know it's a lexus. If it says 350 on the passenger side rear flank, any body who knows any thing about the car knows it has big brakes. No need to punctuate the obvious.

I appreciate the input - I however, like the looks of the glossy black painted calipers with the white or silver stickers on them, especially on the front brakes.
Last attempt - has anyone painted their 08 IS350 calipers yet? Pics?

So on the second generation IS (the 350 to be specific), is it dumb to waste the time on painting the rear calipers, as they are small in comparison to the fronts? You couldn't even really get a nice looking sticker on there or anything.
Do most people who paint their calipers simply do the front and call it a day?
