I personally think the F-sport bars are going to be just about as crappy as the stock bars. Lexus is not going to design a set of bars that would reduce the understeer very much. I want a bar (or set of bars) that will make the car neutral.

What the hell are all you guys talking about, Hotchkis is top notch stuff. I had their bars on my 2005 S4 and they were totally one of the best bar sets I have ever used. They totally transformed the car into something it lacked prior, plus they were adjustable 2 ways. The stiffest would have only been suitable for track use, but the soft setting made the car feel way more stable and still maintain factory smoothness. They were awesome. If I were going to upgrade the bars on my IS, I would jump on the Hotchkis.

I too want the best sway bars available. Only time will tell if Lexus does the right thing. I can't imagine they would waste their time making bars that didn't improve understeer very much, but none of us knows for sure until they actually come out. I'm willing to wait and see.

I think the Hotchkis bars look very interesting, but I don't know anything about the brand.

They should be the same. The rear is similar for the most part between the awd and rwd. Suspension like coilovers are different between the two, but i think roll bar should be same. Give them a call and find out.

Why doesn't anyone believe meon the fact that Hotchkis are the bomb. Go look at the Audi and bimmer boards. These are 2 cars that are more dedicated to handling from the factory. A lot of the guys on those boards auto X and respect a well handling car because a lot them also drive higher end cars such as porsches and Lamborghinis, I would trust what they have to say. If a car like a M3, S4, or RS4 are worthy of a set of Hotchkis, our IS's certainly are.

I have to reiterate that on my S4, they have completely transformed the ride from understeering to neutral . I have mine set on the stiffest setting and am running them on both the front and the rear of the car. In fact, the rears are 29mm (the RS4 comes from the factory with a 24mm bar in the rear). I have Bilstein PSS9 coilovers as well and depending on their setting, I can actually make the car oversteer. Picture an all wheel drive car drifting through the corners!

They make the car feel like it is glued to the ground on the soft setting when you are making aggressive turns. I have never made an improvement that has given that much of an increased level of confidence.
