Well then have him change your brake pads, fix your engine mount, and take a look at your door locks next time you have your oil changed.

Problem fixed.

Actually, I was guessing that you still have your factory fill of oil since you are so busy and have such high expectations of Lexus' reliability.

I hope you're using synthetic oil.

Stop with the personal attacks. Post about the TSB issue or move on.

can the factory fill go 10k?

You may be setting yourself up for more warranty issues/denial down the road if anything happens to your engine.

Why then does the TSB for brake dust state that it's applicable up to the warranty limits on the car (4 yrs / 40,000 miles I believe)?

That is "if" you do not wear your brakes out before then. There has to be some pad left to complain about the brake dust.

Once you have used up all of the pads and dug into your rotors.... well, there is no bulletin or car Mfgr. that is ever going to cover that.

I'm amazed at how people can actually think a worn out brake pad should now be changed to a dustless brake pad because of a TSB.
They would probably expect to get free resurfacing or rotors too.

No way it can. No dino oil is good for 10k that I know of. 7000 miles with all highway miles, maybe, but 10k is a no-no, especially on the factory fill.

^All the time... It's okay though, because since I've already given a warning in this thread, now I get to use this:

no personel attacks here?

Just letting the poster know why the TSB doesn't apply to their car and trying to help by explaining they "could" end up in the same boat with thier engine.
