Here's what I do...

Pull the car into the driveway, shift to Neutral, engage the parking brake as far as it will go. When I slowly release the foot brake, the car starts moving backwards for what seems to be a few feet. By then I shift it into Park and the car holds fine, but it seems like there is an awful lot of pressure on the transmission.

What I do is right foot on the brake, push to park, apply e-brake, and let go.
My IS250 will roll a bit but IS350 will not at all.

got the car back from the dealer last weekend and they finally acknowledge the problem with the e-brake loose. I guess it doesn't matter how many times I have to bring it in, as long they fix it with in my warranty period.

Yeah I'm about to bring mine in again. I think I'm going to have to have the tech take a little test drive with me so I can show him that the brake isn't working properly. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried it on a flat surface when I took it in originally.

You know you are probably right, they are dumb enough to do that. Heck they said my dash rattle was due to my Tein CS coilovers which we all know ride waaaaay smoother than stock when on the lower settings.

Got the car back last weekend and they finally fixed the problem. It was a different service guy but who knows.
