My daughter's IS 250 is in need of new front and possibly rear brake pads. I want to put ceramic pads on the front . I found some Akebono pads (same brand we put on my sons' 350Z). Anyone have any experience with these or can recommend some others ? Are the brake pads the same on the I 250 AWD and the I 250? TIA.

Akebono is a big supplier of brake pads for Toyota and Nissan and most likely others.
I tried finding some Akebono ceramics for my IS months ago and nothing was available.I lucked out and found out about the brake pad dust TSB on the front pads and got a set installed for free by Lexus.
If Akebono has ceramics for an IS now, you'll be fine. You can spend $60 for the less dusting brake pads that Lexus is now using for TSB replaced pads too.
