Question spring & shock install ?'s

I just bought a set tokico blues mounted on 92 sc300 spirngs from a guy on here and was wondering 1st off if the spring ratio was any different from 92 to my 97 sc300 which they are going on? Does it change the ride height any at all?

2cd of all for the guys that have done a spring/shock/strut install how hard is it? Any special tools/tips you can give me on the install? How long does it take?

I guess finally what do you guys think of the ride qulaity of the tokicos compared to stockers?

i have a tokico/eibach combo on my 93 SC300 that came off of 96 SC300. they ride same as stock. maybe just a bit stiffer. still way too soft. feels like riding a couch . better then stock but still too soft.

as far as install. the back is straight forward. the front can be difficult if you never done it or dont have the right tools. i found that the easiest way to do the fronts is to remove the big bolt that holds the UCA in place. when yo take out that bolt you can swing the UCA out of the way, use a pry bar to lower the LCA, and take out the strut.

no speacial tools are needed...unless a pry bar is a special tool

good luck.

the spring rates are the same on all SC's...im pretty sure. they weight difference between 92-96 and 97-2000 does not justify changing spring rates.

do a search of you need anymore help. and dont forget to do an alignment after all is said and done.
