The my buddy at JIC said this in referance to the new models,
"The new FLT-TAR are the ones with the gunmetal springs, it is similar to the FLT-A2 just different spring, updated brackets, updated pistons and shim set up, valving is different, gas pressure is different but the same mono tube design."

so after doing some research this is just too good of a deal to pass up so im going to be picking them up on monday. i figure TEIN basics are already like 900. cant even compare to the quality. like you said height adjustable without messing with spring rate. let us know how the ride is. im gonna put mine on in the spring no sense in lowering it right now with all the snow.

Yeah, cant wait. I got to get the transmission swap finished up. I plan to make big progress this weekend.
Perhaps this new model has improved on the soft short comings your buddy had, JIC said, "it is similar to the FLT-A2 just different spring, updated brackets, updated pistons and shim set up, valving is different, gas pressure is different but the same mono tube design" This could really change the overall performance of these coilovers.
I was going to say, if you were going to pass then i want the contact info, I could make some $$$ on a deal like that.
well before he had his car shipped over from japan they were just sitting in the car for a year. After it was shipped here he drove on them for about 3 months but found that they were still a little too soft for his likings. he switch them to RSR's Ti 2000's supposedly they only produced like 40 of them a year its 45 way adjustable and cost about 5000 however hes sponsered and got them for half that.

How is the car going to ride with those things? Is the spring rate pretty soft or is like the rate of a lowering spring? I had a mustang with coil overs and it rode a bit to rough for me. I put the motorsport spring back on and it was a lot better. I like those but I'm afraid of the ride. Any thoughts![Uhh...](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/1387914497.gif)
