I noticed a good amount of break dust in the front of my 08 IS350. I have the car for almost a month now with just a little over 1k on it. Will have to look into it.

Yeah, the 08s definitely still have dusty pads... it'd be nice if the TSIB was updated, I'll probably get mine done at either the 5k or 10k service, doubt I'll be back to the dealership after those unless something breaks.

I just verified the TSIB has not been updated to include the '08 IS250. Those of you who have gotten it regardless of this are lucky to have a good dealership.

My '08 IS250 is in the shop right now and I'm awaiting a determination on whether they are going to replace my pads. On the topic of if the TSIB has been updated to include the '08, I've gotten a LOT of conflicting info. Can anyone please quickly verify and possibly identify a link to the TSIB I can use in case the dealer denies the replacement?

I have a retarded amount of brake dust on my front wheels after around 60 miles of driving. That is unacceptable. I will make sure I get this done when I go to Lexus.

I cant find a TSB for the 08's. I was just posting what I was told by the service guy. They had to order my pads....so i will know more when they call me. They coulda just said that.......they are great dealer for service and will do anything to please you. They sold me the body kit for cost and then charged me $135 to install it.

I'm tired of the dealer saying, "they fixed the pads on the '08." When I entered the service bay and described the problem, I got this same canned response.

So, I told her I washed the car yesterday afternoon. I then swiped the front rim, the tip of my finger was solid black...I then swiped the back rim, barely anything. I said, "is it really fixed if your customer doesn't agree?"

They are being really cheap about this and it has devalued my perception of Lexus service. Some may think it's no big deal, but the stock pads are filthy and too "grabby" in my opinion.

An update. The dealer agreed to install the "dustless" pads on my '08 IS250 RWD. (IS250 & AWD dustless 2006-2008, PN: 04465-53030)

When I picked up the car, I inspected the brakes and was very suspicious that they didn't install the right pads. It was my understanding the "dustless" pads have a green backing that is easily visible. Mine don't (they have black backing). I fronted out the Svc Rep and she insisted they are the right pads. Also, no guarantee, but the PN's on the Svc Order match those above.

After driving on them, they don't produce a fraction as much dust. Predictably, the braking performance is marginally diminished, but it's tolerable.

So after much wrangling, I finally got them installed for free, like a bunch of other folks here.
