There is your problem there
Get rid of the cat =)
But this is a good thread, i was testing a used AWD 250 and I am coming from a Infiniti G20 that had some coilovers and the ride was stiff. I thought it was responsive but my brother drove it and said it was kinda stiff compared to his TL. So maybe that one had a blown shock.

I was not aware that they were leaking and my car has performed normal with no noise from the rear. I'm not purchasing them immediately, but i'm beginning to save a little since i know they MIGHT be going bad.
Were you aware of any problems with your shocks before taking it to the shop? It wouldn't be wise to purchase any suspension upgrades or repairs just because an "advisor" (salesman) told you something is leaking. You really should inspect the leak yourself, and make a decision based on how well you think the shocks are performing for you.
