Default Any choices for aftermarket shocks/struts?

It seems to me that everyone onthis board is concerned only with aftermarket springs and coilovers. Going the aftermarket spring route(with a lowered than factory stance) with factory shocks will decrease the life of the factory shock. That said, are there any choices for aftermarket shocks or struts?

Nope. Not until the F sport stuff comes out. Then it will be cost prohibitive and you would be better off getting coilovers anyways.
If you use drop coils I have not heard of anybody blowing shocks and there have been people who have had coils on their cars for a couple years already.

are the is-f suispension components the same as the is250/350, save for the fact of different coil spring rates?

There are aftermarket shocks but if all you want is a little better handling and a lower ride there are MANY spring kits out there designed to work with the stock shocks and should leave the stock shocks good to at least 80k.

for what its worth, i want to lower my car and i had talked to a parts person at my local lexus dealership and he stated i should just wait until the IS-F sports suspension items come out, so he tells me to wait to buy the is-f springs and shocks so that my warrantly for shocks or suspension doesnt get voided, question is how low is that lexus sport suspension...

It'll probably be a pretty mild drop, like no more than an inch or so that your current stock height. Car companies typically don't make their cars too low on the sports suspension..
