yea definately no mods whatsoever... The only problem is that there's almost NO space between the caliper and the rim.

Nice job.

The painter did a good job on the calipers. I sanded mine mainly to remove the existing paint but the caliper surface is quite porous so it would have taken quite a bit to get it to look like that.

For those that are dissing the colour, post up your BBK for everyone to comment on.

they're Powder coated... its a candy coat thats why it looks iridescent. As for the process the first step is the chrome powder coat this is the only time in the process that the caliper isnt hot. Heres when it gets tricky... The second coat is a Candy purple its applied over the hot chrome, then goes back in the oven. The third step has to be perfectly if not it just looks too dark, again candy purple is applied on the hot caliper then put on a lower temp for a exact time (I forgot the actual time its like 13min). Once it cools thats it... The purple I choose is about 150.00 for a pound and is usually a special order powder. I'm gonna have to get back to you on the name cuz I have nooooo idea.

Do they have to disassemble the caliper when putting it in the oven and remove the rubber seals ?.

Some do and some dont... My painter said he'd rather not because of the alumminum tends to swell when it gets hot, so it was done as a complete assembly. He didnt want to take it apart, coat them and not be able to put them back together perfectly. One other thing thats EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, all metals have pores and have impurities in them. When alumminum heats up the pores will expand and expell impurities and gases that my build up in the process. So expect small imperfections around edges, its nothing major but i'm a perfectionist and I noticed. As for the seals they're were OK, your brakes get waaaaayyyy hotter than the coating oven.
