Calipers Painted Gold
I have a can of Gold paint sitting in the office, i had no intention of painting my calipers but then it hit me, i have a black lex and i thought it might look quite nice if i painted my calipers gold
so PLEASE vote
Also
anyone got pics of blaack IS with gold calipers?
2ndly
will it look ghetto if i spray it myself? never done any spray painting before and not sure if im need anything else such as primer or that glossy aftercoat paint. The plan is to take the calipers off and jsut spray paint them Gold myself.
so PLEASE vote

I would jsut recommend getting them powdercoated. You will have to have your car out of service for a couple of days, but:
Last forever
Looks better, or best of all options
Not too expensive.
I was quoted $40 for a pair in any color.
Just my thoughts on it.

My uncle taught me to do it and eventually I painted with him my calipers black. However, we actually don't spray it. We use a brush and then air dry it with pressurized air.

Everyone always says to use caliper paint or heat resistant paint. I had a Corvette that I painted the calipers with spray Rustoleum. In seven years I painted them twice. I had many compliments and people asking who did it and what it cost. The answer was I did it myself in about 2 hours and cost about $3.

lol^^^
Now about the paint im using it doesnt say its heat resistant,
but it says on the can that its for topcoating steel iron and aluminum alloy, galvanized steel and other metal surfaces. They list items such as refrigerator, washinmachines fans helemts and Motors.
Im assuming since they say its safe to use on motors then it must be heat resistant.
If i have to bleed my brakes, ill just wait til the next time i change my pads to paint them as its not worth the hassel.
thanks for all the comments
