I did notice a harsher ride on the freeway when going over a series of bumps on a certain patch of road.
Looks like I'm gonna have to rent a spring compressor again.
im sure you can just remove the strut from the car, lift up the dust boot ,pull the bumpstop dwn a bit and get at it with a razor blade.. tedious, but itll save you from undoing the spring..and will prolly take less time than running to the store to rent the spring compressor.
Hey Fonzy, I take it that you had your bumpstops cut when you had your DF10 and shock setup?
I did not That's why I find it hard to belive people are having such problems That's also why I asked if it's the bump stops or the upper control arm. Now that I am a lot lower, sometimes hear my upper harm hit. Not common at all, but does happen some times.

Hmmm. Sometime time ago you recommended that I get the Tanabe DF10 (which I now have but not installed yet). This thread has caught my eye but leaves me thinking if I should or should not have the bumpstops cut . So far I've seen recommendations to have them cut. Help me again Fonzy
i tried to cut the bump stop by lifting up that dust boot..and man..that is one tough piece of rubber..i dint have anything that was strong enough to cut it..although..it CAN be done..its jus that my cutter isnt sharp enough or something..but its hard to cut..i gotta find another kind of blade that will easily cut through this damn rubber

Yeah, I remember that. Like I said, I never cut mine, but I don't know if there is a difference between the 300 and 4xx models. I would hate to tell you one thing and have it be wrong. If it was up to me, I would not do it. The person who installs them, should be able to tell if there is enough clearance after the strut gets assemble.
i jus cut my bump stops..theres 3 bumps if u look at it..i cut one off..made my car probably 1/2 inch lower? not exactly sure..but it made it lower for sure..havent driven it yet tho..but looks better

Do you have a GS3 or GS4?
And to sort of clarify what's been talked about in the other posts, I'm not really experiencing problems. Everywhere I drive is fine, except a certain patch of freeway that has a series of bumps really close together. At 60mph it's fine, but at 65-70mph (usual traffic speed) it causes my car to feel like I'm driving over a brick road.
I haven't gotten the chance to work on my car yet. I'll have to probably wait until next weekend or something.
