Default Tundra's TRD BBK?

Just an entertaining thought, since the LS400 brakes have the same bolt pattern as our SCxxx/Supras and it is used on the new 2007 Tundras

2007 Tundras:

Would anyone consider putting the Tundra's 6 pot 16 inch TRD bbk on our cars????

you would need at least an 18" wheel if not bigger. im not sure what size wheel comes stock on the tundra. how much are the those brakes?

the problem will be setting up proper brake bias. if you get those trd 6 piston calipers you would need AT LEAST supra tt rears and a brake bias adjuster. i think its an overkill ofr 95% of people on here.

Why dont we do a group buy of some custom rotors to match the oem 2007 calipers? 14 inch brakes sound good to me.

^^ Why not just stick with what works...the LS and Supra calipers?

Also why run Tundra TRD BBK's when you can get a BBK kit that is specific to our cars? IF it was cost effective than i'd be all for it but the TRD BBK is just as much as any other aftermarket BBK kit.

I was talking about the OEM 14 inch. They would most likly be the cheapest 14 inch set up for our cars.

"Tundra comes prepared with best-in-class four-piston calipers squeezing massive 13.9-inch ventilated front rotors that are 1.26 inches thick."

I am going to call the brake man tomorrow.

You'd look very off road and never handle right, I'd wagger the entire setup must wiegh drastically more than the TT or LS setup especially with wheels and rims to clear: "Requires: TRD 22” Forged Wheel, Factory Option 20” Alloy Wheel, or Accessory 20” Alloy Wheels" to clear 16-Inch Drilled Rotors.
