I just went to the TEIN website, and the carbing strut tower brace is still not for sale for the Lexus SC.

I like the TRD but i want to know if there are any pros and cons or better fitting options, any ideas ??

Thanks

TRD is the way to go, not that heavy ether, very very sturdy, and when and if you order it make sure you order for a Supra MKIII, it fits directly to your front strut towers

try calling up http://www.excelerateperformance.com/contact.htm

he is a distributor for TEIN and last he checked for me they did in fact have 1 or 2 in stock even though it does not reflect it on their site.

Short hearsay answer, Ive heard people say the SCs will not greatly benefit from a strut tower brace because they are already stiff. But there is also a look and the feeling that it might help. Also the Carbing S.T.B. also has a master cyl. brace,as well.

You're 100% wrong. Na Supra.., maybe. Also, try the Supra TT Tanabe tower bar, and no way on earth would you be able to put that on. If you're 1jz, or 2jzgte, then you'll have plenty of options. It's that ugly freaken intake manifold crossing over the valve cover of the NA, which makes it very limited on the tower bars you wish to use.

Full aluminum one-piece construction with a master brake cylinder stopper.

The only mod that it needed was another set of brackets on top of the stock ones because it was hitting what I think is the TPS sensor housing.

+1, carbing is GREAT! not heavy like TRD and will fit EDFC or anything easily, i just took the TPS sensor housing off completely, it does no harm.

I wonder if the gas tank was taken out, would the Supra rear bars bolt in? Anyone ever tried this? (Yes, I've seen a few SC/Soarer bars that wrap over the top, but I am thinking about going with a fuel-cell, so it would be nice to have more options...)

You're definitely right about the tanabe tt bar, however, there's a new tanabe bar now on Ebay, and it's said to fit the na and the tt as well. Now I'm wondering if anyone can confirm whether this bar will work on the SC300? The part number is TTB012F.
