Default Having Problems with my '98 GS300 Brakes

Hello everyone I am new here and was wondering if anyone can direct me in the right direction. I have a 1998 GS 300 with ABS Brakes. The rear rotors and pads were replaced about 8 months ago. The car now has 119k miles on it and a few weeks ago I started to notice the brake pedal get mushy, when I brake I have to push it further than half way to get any braking power out of it. I also in the past week or so noticed when I have to make a short stop the front tires lock up and it feels like the back brakes are not even working. Also the pedal in some of these short stops went all the way to the floor and it was very slow returning like there is no brake presure. I have also notice that if I hit the brakes on the highway, the brakes go past the halfway point in order to get any response then if I let off and pump them again they get tighter and grab higher. No ABS or brake warning light has come on but I know there is something wrong with the brake system due to these problems and the ABS not activating. I need to get this fixed and wanted to know what you guys think this is, is this a master cylinder problem and if so how expensive can this be? I thank you for any response.

mabe you should try to have the system bled? if your car isn't throwing any CEL. I would say it's most likely air in the system, but who knows the cars not right in front of me, but if your capable of bleeding it with a friend or buying a bleed pump and doing it yourself it would be free .............. cept the brake fuild of course.

I agree...bleeding should be done first before making any major repairs. It's cheaper and fixes most of the mushy problems.
