someone on this board had mention that it's a universal thing on toyo/lexus for the passenger side to be slightly higher. i didn't measure my car when it was stock, but passenger side sits about 2-3mm higher than driver side after i put on h-tech. i have measured an '08 IS250, '07 Camry, '06 Camry, '06 Highland, and an '02 LS430 and found all of them to be higher on passenger side vs. driver side.

one would think the higher side would be where the driver sits...best answer i've heard so far is that in japan, the driver does sit on the higher side...the right side of the car.

I measured my car's height difference between driver and passenger side (on a level garage floor, and double checking tire pressures to 40psi all around), and I am a little over 0.5" lower on the driver side. Thanks sincityIS for your input on this thread. After reading about this issue, and measuring my car to confirm, I am now NOT going to settle for just springs, and am going to get TEIN CS coilovers to get a perfect, even drop. I would have hated getting just springs, and ending up with a lowered car that leaned to the drivers side! I would have wasted time and money switching everything out to coilovers. You just saved me some major grief and $$$, thank you!!

I wish I had somebody warn me before the first time around. I went with springs and was so annoyed I bought the Tein CS coilovers, I could not stand it leaning it drove me crazy.

I am really glad this thread got started. This is the first car I've ever owned that leaned 0.5" from the factory. It's kind of sad engineering, if you ask me. I don't see MB's and BMW's leaning to one side, and believe me, I am looking to compare. Oh well, nothing some coilover's can't fix.

My TienS springs do the same thing. You have to look close but its lower on the drive side. I would say get coilovers!

I believe the are $1400 + or - not including shipping from Sewell Lexus. That is where I got mine from.

Don't need pics, just go out to your car and measure (on a flat surface, with tire pressures checked and equal). You'll be able to easily see for yourself, and verify that the IS leans approx 0.5" to the drivers side.

The easiest way to measure is from the top of wheel to the bottom of the fender lip. This way it doesn't matter if the ground is a smidge off.
