2" drop isn't the problem I would just make sure you have room for the rim/tire set up. 2" wouldn't work for me and my set up. Are you going to do stretched tires? What size tire do you plan to run? I think my OEM was 255 on my rear?? I cant recall?? How flush will the rim be with your fender?

i'm planning to go with 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 all around, the guy at discount tire said i can go either way. Do you think it's a better idea to put the rims on first then see how it is and decide, or just get it and instal it the same time. I just hate driving around a 4x4 with rims, lol

I had the springs on first. What i did was go to Discount tire and had them test fit the tire size i wanted to go with. I would assume you can talk them into doing the same. This way you can confirm that all is good and that you like the look also being that you have more then one option that will work. Some like the VIP (stretched look) and others like some meat on the rims. Once you have the springs on and go with the rims it only takes a few days for them to get tires if they don't have the tire and size you want. Just note that the car will sit lower on the driver side! Its normal for our car and nothing you can do to change it. I found out the hard way so test fit them on the driver side to make sure you have enough travel with out rubbing. May take a few more days but better to be safe

what is a stretched look? The only thing is, i will only be in the states about once every 2 month to visit my folks, that's the hard part, lol, so i have to call them in advance to get the tires in and stuff. I might just go with the F-sport springs with the 1 inch drop to be on the safe side, man, i never thought finding springs will be the hardest for me. lol

look at member Johnnyboy's car. Its not a perfect pic but you can see how the rims stick out farther then the tires do. That is the VIP or stretched look.

I think you will be safe with the TeinS springs. I just think the 2" drop may be pushing it? I think the Eibach pro kit will offer a 1" drop if you want to go conservative for less money.

on the road magnet website they now just call the springs (is 250) springs not (is 250 awd) springs like they use to when they first came out... so im not sure. one of the vendors on here is selling them at a discount price you might want to find the thread or pm him to find out.

i sent road magnet an email over the weekend asking if the 2" drop is taking into consideration that the awd sits higher then the is 250/350 rwd vehicles... my thinking is that it drops the awd 2" but actually might be less of a drop then other springs because other springs are relative to the drop they provide the rwd vehicles which naturally sit a bit lower. don't know if this makes any sense to anyone else but it makes sense to me...? i will wait for their response.

yeah i thought of the same thing, since the awd sits higher, it might be be a bit less than 2" drop than the rwd vehicles.

passnu2, thanks for the link to the pics, decisions, decisions, and decisions. i'm jsut a bit worried because I've never driven on a lowered car before, and if my first one will be a 2 inch drop, don't know if i'll be scrapping things like crazy cause i'm not use to it. even with the new fabulous on, i feel that i might scrape things, and it's not even lowered.

fyi, the alignment on my is350 is still w/in factory specs (albeit barely) w/ s-techs after letting them settle. any lower, and your alignment will be out of factory specs...

i'd put up the link to back this up, but i'm lazy and it's somewhere in this subforum... i think i've been the only one to put up my s-tech post-alignment report so far.

Your welcome. I can tell you i dont rub going down my drive way or going up!

Same lip you have on the TeinS. No issues for me. I did slighlly rub with the OEM one when i would back out.
