Shocks showed up today, woohoo! I'll be posting some pics in the gixxer_drew thread, my setup should eliminate the need to cut the sleeve.

Bilstein is shipping shocks. My insanely long wait for the two front shocks is over, they arrived today. There are apparently about 15 sets of these available, so act immediately if you want them.

I don't think you got the last of them unless all 15 sets were sold in the last 48 hours. But then again, there is some pent up demand.

The Supraforum guys are also all over these right now.

Will the next guy who cuts the 7" coilover sleeve please tell me in inches exactly how much you cut off?

I was not referring to shox.com.

My comment was based on a conversation that I had with a manager at Bilstein USA national headquarters in San Diego who, on Wednesday, April 30, said they had 15 sets of front shocks on hand after shipping out all backordered AK1242's. He told me that my shocks ordered throught Turner Motor Sports had been shipped that day. They were and I received them Friday.

If that also means that Bilstein has shipped out everything they made, (like about 30 in the past ten days) then this is indeed a bummer to those interested. But I doubt that's the case.

If the AK1242's are truly gone and another member is interested in more information, pm me and I will give you the name and phone number of this manager at Bilsteins USA headquarters. I got nothing but bull**** for seven months until I got in touch with them.

Ok, those who received their shocks, can you read off the serial# at the bottom of each (near bilstein logo).

mine says:

Bilstein made in Germany

48510-720D (front)

48530-720D (rear)

I might have different valving on mine since they came off a Supra RZ. Want to find out if that is true.

Fronts, one says 1108B46 1792HD (not sure about HD, could be HO)Made in Germany, the other shock has no serial number at all.

As much as I was waiting for these to come back into stock......I just cant pull the trigger! Too many other things I have going on, even though these TT springs need some company, lol. I'll have to get them on the next go-around.
