Default 95 LS400 Calipers or Supra TT?

I got a set of 1995 LS400 Calipers prepared to be install in my SC400. Now I am debating if I should get Supra TT calipers instead. What do u think? Here is my recently painted caliper. I am just debating if the Supra TT calipers really worth the money. The TT has slightly larger rotors but the calipers are alot heavier and potential problems with wheel fitment too.

I'm very happy with my LS brakes. The only downsides I have seen so far is the lack of selection in performance pads. Not a huge deal, but something to consider. You've already spent the money on getting them and having them finished to your liking. I would go ahead and install them. If you arent happy, I'm sure someone would buy them off you in a heartbeat.

supra tt brakes will also give you more rotor options.

Thanks,
I cleaned it really good and used a high temp glossy black paint. I was going to use the "Lexus" sticker but they are custom made so i decide to use something else. Little different for sure. Took us a while to get the arch and font size properly. Two of my good friends (JamesN and Stevechumo) are using the 95 LS brake and they are very happy with them. Here is another picture.

I love my LS calipers, they're 100 times better than stock, and if I remember correctly they weigh alot less than the TT calipers and only have less than an 8% difference in stopping power. They also have a closer brake bias than the TT's would, if you have stock rear calipers.

My LS calipers are great, only thing is choice in Rotor and Pads, the TT calipers have a better selection.

caliper looks hot

keep in mind that widthwise, the 2LS calipers are WIDER than the TT calipers, and will be more finicky when fitting wheels.

just buy hi-disk wheels and ul be fine.

LS calipers are so much more cost effective then TT calipers.

And trust me, ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN STOCK SC300/400/NA SUPRA calipers...

I put those on if I had them, certianly a big upgrade and you will have very near the TT performance at a great price. But you will not have saved any weight...

Yes, the caliper weighs less, but the LS rotors weigh much more and there goes that advantage, you net about even. However, the heavier LS calipers are rotating mass and that weight is a multiple of greater than 1x

If you purchase lightweight rotors, they are uber expensive and at that point you'd come out $ ahead on TT setup.

Will the LS400 four-pot brake calipers fit with my 98+ GS400 17" wheels?

My wheels are like these:

You'll need at least 10mm spacers, or 15mm to be on the safe side.

Can I run a 10mm spacer without needing longer wheel studs?
