Why are my brake calipers rusted? pictures attached
Hey guys, my 2 front brake calipers are heavily rusted, and I've only had the car for about a year. Anyone know why? I hardly drove it much in the winter time also. do you think if i take it to the dealer where i bought it from, they'll be able to do something? This just looks so disgusting!!

I hope warranty covers it, since it has no contact with anything. it really doesn't affect anything but looks, it's UGLY!!! LOL
It can't be from the salt, my dad's car is a 03, and he drove it every winter for about 4 years now, and they don't look anything rusted. I hardly drove mine, since I take public transit to work during the week. especially winter time, i don't really go anywhere.

Yes stickers...Mine arent here yet but looks much better. DupliColor is the Kit I had and many around here. Its easy to DIY. Spray the caliper with the cleaner that comes with and paint on the ceramic paint that comes with
You dont want the spray on paint...doesnt hold up. Maybe from our meet today you will see better pics of mine or maybe other members. Check the Chicago thread later for pics

Take them off and pour some coke on it and scrub, I'm not joking, I've once removed rust on my old track car with coke. Since then I don't drink soda... oh yea, it's great for cleaning toilets too.

nope! It has a spray cleaner to apply. Then you just paint the stuff on. No removal of the fronts. We have to do the rears and put the NEW brake pads. Those calipers have to come off to install the new brake pads so we will probably paint while off. Just take your time! Anyone that can install those side mirrors can do this with no problem. Maybe scrub it more with some elbow grease to make sure you get all that surface rust off!
How are the turn signals?

^^^turning signals are fully working now, after numerous attempts trying to get them through the fender to the engine bay, we gave up, lol. But thank you for all your help, I basically told my mechanic what wire to connect, he didn't even have to look LOL. I took it to my mechanic, he did it without any problems. I love them, one of my favorite mods on the car. The springs are on also, so I'm pretty much set except for these ugly calipers
