TSB Pads are GREAT
Got my pads replace for a week now and the front wheels is still clean and shiny. 
The performance feels alot better. the old pads was more grabbier and stopping smoothly was harder. The new pads stop faster and not grabby and i was able to stop smoothly. And the screeching noise rotor is gone also.

Nice, huh? Since I got mine put on, I haven't specifically washed my wheels; only when I wash the car....it's pretty cool. You are correct about the new pads; they don't have as much initial bite. I wouldn't say they are better than the old ones for stopping power, but it would be hard to prove that they are any worse!
