Default Alignment after lowering/rims?

I have a question, I know you need an alignment after lowering, but do you need one after getting new wheels as well?

The new wheels Im getting are the same rolling diameter and track width, but probably weight a little less and also have a offset difference of -5mm... do I need to get an alignment after getting that on?

Also for those of you who did your alignment after lowering it, did you guys take it to dealer to do it? If you did did the dealer say anything about the rim or spring? and how much were you charged?

For those that didnt, how much were you charged too?

Thanks

i took it to a recommended alignment shop, and so should you. no point in going to the dealership that a competent alignment shop can't handle.

i think it's about $80 for a four-wheel alignment. YMMV.

Depends on who you talk to.. my shop says to do an alignment every time you REMOVE your wheels and tires, even for a simple flat repair. I think that is a little over board. I usually do an alignment on my car once a year before long trips or anytime I do suspension work to my vehicle.

okay Gotcha, I was planning to put on the F sport springs, and sneak it into the dealer for an alignment then put on my wheels lol.

I was scared of doing it outside of the dealer cuz I have heard stories of people cant fix their camber due to the ride height being too low or you need a kit for it... but I guess thats okay with the 1" from the F sport?

theres NO camber or caster adjustments on this car. Only Toe. Alignment takes 15-20 minutes...any shop can do it. I got a 3 year unlimited plan for $100.

Okay, sorry but one more question.. since there is no camber or caster adjustments... are your camber and caster within spec after the drop? If not then that would suck heh

Camber specs are
Front is +.1 to -1.4
Rear is +.5 to -2

If you are within those ranges it will be fine. F sport is a weak drop so you will be well with those ranges. I am on a lowww drop and still within those specs.
