Default Tom's / Advox Coilovers

Anyone have any experience with these? Now that Bilstein is making the F-Sport struts, I wonder if a PSS9 is possible in the near future?

I road in a car with the advox but wasnt driving, The car road very very well, very comfortable and as close to stock as you can get. It handled alot better , significanly tighter through the turns and body roll is reduced (compared to stock). I was very impressed with it, the advox coils are very expensive but well worth the money if ur lookin for something that is as comfortable as stock but alot more stable. Personally however id rather do with coils from TEIN.

yes; however, TOM'S came out with a new coilover/suspension setup that is more affordable than the Advox.

Those Tom's(non Advox) will fit the 2IS coz i currently have them installed in my IS250. It's a big difference compared to the stock suspension in turns, handles much better/tighter. As for comfort, it's slightly harder than the stock which can cause the ride to be "bumpy" at times...but it's not a big concern since my parents have sat at the back of my car and never complained to me about it.

DAmn where have u been hiding? you car sounds sick, like your mods. Tells us more about those TOMS coils, did u get the one for the mark X? if not, which ones fits the IS?

Can u compare them to tein coils? handling and comfort wise?

Well....when i talked to the Tom's parts agent in Macau, they just told me there's one that fits the IS250...not sure if it's the same as the Mark X or not. I'm just lookin at the info sheet i got from the part and it's call the "Tom's Sports Suspension Kit". If you go to the l-tune website, i'm pretty sure it's the same one that they sell there. On the Tom's website-->product-->sports suspension kit(underneath advox), but it's weird coz it only gives matching to these toyota vans.

I haven't tried the Tein coils b4, so I'm not sure how they compare. But I love these Tom's coils, I can corner at higher speed and still maintain good stability. Also much more affordable compare to the Advox. The top tier Advox is like more than double the price of these Tom's coils.

The Macau Tom's agent said that the advox suspension is a great part, it has very good craftsmanship and all the parts are made with great detail. However, it's not suitable for the roads in Macau(coz the roads here are real sxxx), so that's why he advised me to get these "cheaper" Tom's coils instead. He also said that if my car was in North America/Euro...he will definitely recommend the Advox over my Tom's coils anyday.

interesting, so the toms coils are not as stiff as the advox then? ive always wanted the advox coils but they are wayyyy to expensive to justify spending all that loot on them when u can get something just as good but half the price tag. well congrats on ur coils. id love to know how they comepare to tein coils so if u ever get a chance to drive an IS with them pls report back and let us all know.
