Gold Brake Rotors?????Stock Size!!!
Hello fellow Club Lexians.
Im looking for some Gold Brake Rotors slotted only ( drilled have cracked on me), but i will take slotted and drilled if i have to. I searched this forum and the question was asked but not answered. Found them on ebay, but the company only carried the fronts. These are Stock Sized SC300 Rotors
Where can i buy these?
Does the gold color stay on the entire life of the rotor?
Any companies that you guys recommend from experience?
Thank you

Carson Toyota / L-tuned parts carries them or used to for the GS. On the type they had (which I had on my GS at one point), the blanks were made by Brembo, who then sold them to another company who drilled and resold them under another name. I'm not sure if Brembo or the other company applied the cadmium plating.
If you're buying them for the gold color - no reason to. If you're buying them to try to keep away the rusty rotor hats (and other non-contact parts of the rotor) that's the reason to get them.

For the color, and its not my daily driver so it will sit for days at a time. In that case i think that the gold surface would be better. Because here in Va we get alot of moisture and i tend to have rust build up alot on my brakes after a weekend of "fun"

Hello - FUZION and fellow Club Lexians!
A layer of rust on the surface Brake disc - this is not good for Brake disc and not beautiful.
Brake discs of superior quality - Project-M; Brembo; Endless; Rotora (USA) makes iron alloy with a lot of carbon exposed to very little rust. Project-M; Brembo; Endless; Rotora not add in the iron alloy Brake discs: zinc, silver and gold, as these metals reduce the coefficient of friction between the Brake disc and Brake pads and reinforce slipping between them, reducing the braking effect, stopping distance.
The image layer of rust on the working surface Brake disc thickness eats very very very little work surface Brake disk, and virtually no effect on reducing the coefficient of friction between the Brake disc and Brake pads.
I give preference to high-friction between the brake discs and brake pads, compared with Brake discs in which the added iron alloy metals: zinc, silver and gold.
Regards, Vadim.
