measure from the face of the rotor to the inside of the rim, you should have at least 2.75" of clearance.

The IS350 wheels clear ls400 calipers so the IS-F wheels should have no issues doing the same. The IS350 has factory 4 piston calipers and I am positive the IS-F has the same, if not bigger calipers.

tirerack should have some SS lines in stock, though i dont see why you would want them. They dont really add to performance other than maybe a bit firmer pedal feel.

15mm will work with his 97-00 5-spoke wheels. How do I know? Because I tried the wheels on my car before and there is AT LEAST 4-5mm clearance left between the caliper itself and the spoke of the wheel. The LS calipers are wider than the OEM SC calipers, but not as much as most people exaggerate. You might even pull it off with 10mm (haven't tried but it should be very close).
Can you post a pic of your findings since 97-00 wheels on LS400 brakes have never been done before...?

I always thought of throwing a set of stockers 5 spoke non-chrome off 97-00 sc300/400 on my 95sc3 with the ls-cal. But after researching a bit, it seems people do exaggerate a bit to the point where I felt no 16" Lexus wheels would ever work with ls-cal upgrade. I based the fitment of the 97-00 sc 5 spokes stockers to the 95 6 spokes, the wheel people exaggerate over all the time. Therefore, I backed out on a set for $349.99 at my local tire shop. Those non-chrome stockers are pretty sweet looking sometimes. I think they look best on 97-00 sc3/400's body style, and also in pearl white.

I went with the LS400 Caliper upgrade also. I used the stock SC300 bolts(x2) and lines. The bolts are too long but they cleared on my SC. There was only about a 2mm gap between the top of the bolt and metal. That was without using any washer and after torqueing them down real good. When purchasing your LS calipers you want to make sure you use the LS400 union bolt for the brake lines.

One problem I did run into, and I dont know why its never mention in any write-ups, I just could not get the caliper bolts to line up to he SC caliper mount. I had to file down one of the edges where the top bolt would go through in order to line it up perfectly. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Anyway last but not least, after you have your calipers bolted on and your lines connected, you want to make sure that your brakes get properly bled. Since the LS Calipers hold a higher volume of fluid you will have to fill and bleed all your calipers starting from the caliper that is the furthest from the brake booster(LR,RR,RF,LF). And then you are done!

Huh? You had to do some filing? My LS calipers bolted on without issues, except for the longer SC caliper bolts.

Yeah I wish I had pictures to show you where I did the filing. I was just wondering if I was the only one who had encountered this problem.
