Poll: Lowing Springs worth it or not
DO you guys think getting lowering springs is worth it or not based on handling/looks. Do you think it is worth the money or not? Does it really make a difference in the car's ride?

You should have a "Depends on the driver" choice. A lowered car always looks better, that stock wheel gap is just nasty. Performance there isn't much other than the car having a lower center of gravity. It's more aesthetics than anything, unless you upgrade your shocks and the springs are at a high spring rate to match the upgrade shocks....
Looks = Yes
Performance = Not so much, get coils.

Well, if you have an AWD, you dont have a choice between springs and coilovers. Its springs or stock.
Zephyr hit the nail on the head... the stock wheel gap is just horrible looking. It ruins the car IMO. The springs fix that and honestly, I felt a dramatic increase in handling from the springs due to the horrific body roll my car with the OEM springs. The ride is stiffer but certainly nothing to complain about. The springs are the absolute best mod you can do for the car in my opinion. best $200 I spent on the car.
If you have a RWD model, you have the choice of springs or coils which is great, but to be honest, I think the coils are only worth it if you are really really into the handling aspect because honestly, I think the car handles great now and the ride is still good with the springs. Even if coilovers were available, the only reason Id get them is to go a little lower if anything.

I am on TeinS and it looks much better and rides better. Its more like a sport ride with out being to harsh. If you want the extreme then go with coils. Personally with my springs and the cost then work just fine for what I was looking for. Its 200 for springs and 1200 +/- for coils plus install on both. Either are much better then what you have now IMO.

honestly... dont get springs and just go straight to Airrunner... i going the 'dumbarse route'... got springs first/now coils/and eventually i'll get airruners... then when i finally get to phase 3 i'll say, 'i'm such a dumbarse i shoulda gotta airrunners first'

HELL YESSSSS! but then the mod bug keeps hitting you.. the car looks soo nice droped.. and then yourgonna want wheels.. then you cant afford wheels so thenn you want some spacers.. and after you get spacers your not satisfied with the stock rims even though they sit nicely flush with your fenders.. and then you keep longing for more and more and more.. thus defines the mod bug lol then your not gonna liek your springs due to the uneven drop or unsatisfied drop height.. therefore you should get.. COILOVERSSSSSSSSSSSS.
