damn.. when i do this to accommodate the air in a couple weeks, i was assuming i could get away with cutting a nice 2 or 3 inch hole with a holesaw... you think it was really necessary to make that big flap sliced open like that? whatever works i guess... now you got me thinking how much am i gonna have to chop up... shiiiiiit

edit: just went back and looked at your pics again and saw you mentioned you're going to weld covers on. oops... still, got me thinking now..

The one in my sig. Since they're taking forever to take it away, I might as well experiment on it.

LOL I think I've seen that one. Seems like every thread gets off track and on to my sig.

People have said a 2.5 inch holesaw does the job. I've seen it done on a 1st gen pretty clean. I'll try to find the pics.

Looks like a pretty small hole.

Or you can box it in. I'm assuming that's what 4dr is going to do.

yea..im going for the boxed look..cuz if i just made a hole..the cover for it would look like a little nipple..aint tryna have something like that..ima get the covers welded on and probably use a lot of touch up paint to match the engine bay..i dunno yet

I'm deffently doing the hole saw route for the front in my GS. One question though... Lets say you do the 'control arm clearance mod' in the front, what can be done to lower the car THAT much more in the rear to match the front? Or is this just to give the arm a little bit more room to travel wile driving?

I want to do this same mod up front, but dont want to do it if I cant lower the rear a little to make it look even (by the way, Im on air and want to go lower while parked).

You don't need to do anything to the rear. You can lower the rear more than the front or so it looks because the rear fender is usually lower than the front. That's why if you install springs and the the drop says 2" all around, the rear will look lower. Go take a look at your car and the position of the front and rear fender.
