Its a total of 5 per side... it looks like 4 in the picture, but thats actually 5. The spacers are not full loops, more like 3/4 loops. So it takes 5 of them to properly cover 4 coils. If you only have 2, its not going to be enough. If you used them only on the right side, i would just isolate the upper two coils the best you can. But to do it 100%, i think you need 5 per side, and wrap every coil completely.

I fixed my clunk..... The spring was not seated properly on my drivers side front strut's rubber spring seats. (the notches in rubber didnt fit the ends of the spring on the top - bottom rubber was seated fine) I disassembled it... cleaned it. I applied a little lithium grease below and above the rubber. and a little on the bottm and top coils of the spring. I reassembled the unit making sure the ends of the spring were snug in the notches of the spring rubber seats. The lithum grease helps seat the spring so it doesnt bind on recoil. just a tiny dab allowed the assembly to operate free of friction.
I no longer have that annoying clunk in the suspension.

No, it does not require bump stops to be shaved or cut.

^^^ Dealer can only check so much without removing the assembly and viewing all contact points. I thought mine was done right as well as I did them myself, but I guess I was a 1/4" off on the seating on the drivers front.
Anyways.... its just something to verify. my clunk was HORRIBLE like I forgot a bolt or something its also a common problem in any car forum where u lower a car. I been reading up on it on the web. I decided to inspect and I found a smoking gun.
Good Luck
