they're both heavier than stock? that is strange known sway manufacturers like hotchkis usually use stronger metal that is also lighter. weight is something you definately want to remove from these porky vehicles where ever possible...that is if you're interested in performance.

Yeah the sway's and chassis brace are heavier than the stock parts they replace but not by all that much. I don't think there's much to worry about when the f parts are about 5 to 10lbs over the stock ones when you already have a 3500lb car with over 300hp. Unless you're one of those who are constantly trying to get the lowest drag numbers it's pretty much nothing compared to the kind of improvement you get on handling.

When upgrading Sways bars from OEM.. 99% of the time they are heavier...
They are bigger, stiffer and usually stronger than OEM..

I ran Hotchkis on my IS300 and they were much heavier than stock..

But it greatly helped in body roll..

It also depends if in production if they are using hollow chrome molly steel, hollow high carbon steel.. or solid bars all together...

These F-Sport Sways are MOST LIKELY hollow just like the Hotchkis...

BTW - does anyone have pics of the Hotchkis to compare???

Fsport front sway bar is hollow just like the OEM sway bar (both of them). The rear Fsport sway bar is solid and both of them are larger than the OEM one.

BTW, did anyone ever know that the 250 rwd and 350 use different sway bars? You could sell the 350 sway bars to a 250 rwd owner.

From the f-sport website it says the Fsways are a 151.5% improvement over stock in rigidity.. whereas it'll only be a 43% improvement over stock rigidity in the 250rwd.. wouldn't that mean the stock 250rwd would have stiffer stock rear sways than the 350? It doesn't make sense but that's what the f-sport.com site says. Maybe it should be the other way around... 250 owners can sell their rear sways to 350 owners..

Hollow bar in front & solid bar in rear should help balance front to rear weight balance ratio so additional weight that low in the chassis in rear can enhance handling not to mention traction.

I will sell my IS350 swaybars. SoCal pickup only
