SC300 Front calipers... Rear
No plan on attempting, but I am doing the front brakes and was curious if this idea had been tried or any knowledge can be exploited in brake systems...
I don't know if people feel too stupid to ask, or if I just haven't found a thread, but has anyone attempted to mount the sc300 front brake setup on the rears?
Seems somewhat sensible... The normal brake upgrade would be 4 piston front and 2 piston rear... So if you upgrade the front with supra TT calipers, then moved your front to the rears it would be a more balanced full brake upgrade? or would that be just too much braking in the rear compared to the normal engineered 2 piston upgraded rears?
And lets not get hardcore into the mounting issue unless you have insight, there are plenty of guys on here that could easily make those mount with fabrication.... so has anyone tried or had solid reasons why not too, like braking balance etc?
Lets here some good brake knowledge...

i'd say its prob going to take too much fab to make it work, since you'll need the internal drum for the e-brake. unless you plan on spending a lot of money, you're just better off going Supra two piston like everyone else.
I'm considering the SC400 rear brakes since they are slightly larger than the SC300's rears. but somehow i doubt they are compatible also.

it can be done. the fab work wont be that bad at all. its not worth the effort though. go and get some supra tt rears. i checked my local parts store and they can get some supra tt rears loaded for 100 a piece after the core charge. i talked to the guy and he said they dont even know what the caliper is suppose to look like so even if i give them my stock ones its all good. that the employee telling me this. i knew him from before so he told me.
i think i should get me some supra tt rears
btw i asked him about the fronts and those are like 140/per after core and they will take the stocks

Yeah I kind of assumed that it wasnt worth the effort, since you can just pick up some used TT rears, but I was just curious if anyone had or if there were more knowledgeable reasons why not too... anyone have quick access to the braking power of the sc300 fronts and the sup TT rears?
