Default Will Supra BBK clear these rims?

Hey guys, quick question.

Will the Supra Front BBK from www.l-tunedparts.com (the ones for $899) clear these Stern ST2 wheels?

The wheels are: Front- 18x8.5 +38 and Rear- 18.9.5 +35

Brakes

Tein Basic Coilovers are on the way as well. I'm just trying to pick up some low budget wheels for my 93' SC400 and these caught my eye but I want to be sure they'll clear my new brakes. I've searched, but couldn't really find anything concrete. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

You will need to contact the manufactuer/seller of these wheels to find out...There are too many variables that need to be calculated to determine if a wheel fits over an oversized caliper...Two of these major factors are spoke design and disk type (high or low)...Knowing the offset and wheel dimensions are simply not enough information to determine if wheels fit over BBK....

You need to get more information from the seller!

Nice wheel design choice but, I'm not too fond of sterns on any car...They look a bit too cheap and the quality is lacking...

Yeah, I just sent the Ebay seller the message. Hopefully they'll let me know the disc fitment asap.

Thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated

(I'm somewhat of a rookie still )

Lol, really? I guess that picture is deceiving huh? I wonder if anyone else has these on their SCs... Maybe that'll help me see things more clearly. Although, I am on somewhat of a budget. Any suggestions for wheels around 1k with a similar design?

I almost got a set of 18" Volk TE-37s with tires for $1200, but then I realized they were 4x100, and not 5x114.3 like the official wheel thread says to look out for.

If this isn't the right place for these inquiries, feel free to show a rookie what's up.

I would consider these 2 wheels before I buy a set of Sterns..Thats just me though...They are somewhat within your budget range...

Linea Corse Lemans (LM style) - 19x8.5/19x10 - STEP LIP!!
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=346564

Or maybe a set of MRR...

Both wheels far much better choices than Sterns IMO...When buying wheels, think about resale value, chances are you will get tired of them one day and look for another setup....Shell out the extra couple of dollars in the begining; when you get tired of them, sell them and you will get at least some, if not most, of your money back...

Try our vendors, they are all very informative about wheels and can work with your budget...Tirerack has some good choices as well...

Those MMR GT1 in Chrome are amazing They are definitely going to be considered. Thanks for the heads up.

As for those Sterns that I randomly came upon, I noticed their chart says they'll fit 93-98 Supras and Supra TT so I'm assuming they'll clear the TT BBK? If anyone can confirm this assumption, I guess it's helpful information to anyone in my shoes.

i bought the stern st5, and they have tons of room behind the spokes, assuming you get the correct offset (i have 18x8.5 +32 in front and 18x9.5 +35 in rear). and in my opinion they are good quality for the money. i'll try to take a picture soon and post it up here for you.

Thanks man, can't wait.

You're 916 too? I live in the Natomas Area, close to Truxel. Maybe I can check out those wheels in person sometime.

wow, that was a good look out.... free advice! I would agree although I have seen some good SC's with Sterns. I would consider one of those two rims first for the money...

Or you can lurk around, be patient, and pick up other people's used wheels on this forum on other forums. There are many other RWD cars that share our bolt pattern

Question

The ebay seller has responded with saying that the Sterns have "mid disc fitment".

What bothers me is that it says these wheels will fit Supras and Supra TTs so shouldn't that mean they'll clear the Supra brake kit from l-tunedparts.com?

Anybody have some insight on this matter?
