Suspension and Brakes Springs, shocks, coilovers, sways, braces, brakes, etc.

I need to vent: blown Megan coilover... under warranty, but still no replacement!!!

Default I need to vent: blown Megan coilover... under warranty, but still no replacement!!!

damn, one of my Megan coilover shocks blew on me(front right). these coils come w a 1 year warranty and ive only had these for about 10 months. i dont drift or race, just daily w some aggressive driving from time to time. well i went to Megan in west covina, where they checked the shock to see it was clearly blown... they filed the paperwork and said they would send me both front replacements... me = happy

1 month later, i call the dude but tells me its in order but they havent got it in yet... 2 months, same ish. damn, the ride is soo nasty with the one blown coil in front...

i cant to ish cuz they can just keep giving me the run around... and i dont wanna shell out more money on another coilover set...

to sum it all up... first 6 months i thought i came up on a coil system that was really good for just daily, about 10 months = blown shock = mad at myself for choosing megans over the slightly more expensive teins, or even the tein basics!!!

Have you spoken with Jeremy Blackwell? Im sorry to hear about what happened. I just picked up a set for my brother's SC. I hope they take care of you asap.

thats why i wouldnt get megan. even though a lot of people have decent reviews of them their customer service seems like crap. not just this case.

that why im getting stance. customer service is awesome and there is a dealer local to me so runaround=none

good luck getting new coils though. let us know how it goes.

Yeah, If I could do it over again, I'd just pick a more expensive setup....too bad Ohlins doesn't make anything for our cars....

If i were u im sure u can contact megan directly and talk to one of CS reps and see if they even filed it with them and explain ur situation... i work at a accounting office for a dealership and thats what i tell most of the customers that come by adn complain, b/c there isnt much that i can do but call a CSR and do the same

that sucks, my buddy has a similar experience with them, keep calling them and harrassing them, we find that if you bother them everyday, they will eventually get it done
