Default How do you know if you have supra or sc suspension?

hey guys.....
just wondering, is there any difference in looks that you can look for to know if it is supra suspension or sc?

i was wondering because i have the tokico shocks with eibach springs, and my car is not as low as i see some people on this forum to be with the same suspension set up (Supra)

When i first bought the car, i was told from the previous owner that it had supra suspension on it.
Does eibach make 2 different types of springs for the supra?

eibach makes springs for the supra and the SC. i have tokico/eibach combo and my car is not nearly as low as some people on here that actually have suspension made for a supra.

ok, just found out, ran into some info last min.

so i took a look at the springs mounted on my car right now.
Both springs front and rear, i can see the number on the springs and are printed.

8240

these are sc springs correct?

and i believe supra eibach springs should be numbered 8222?

someone correct me if im wrong....

Peter, I'll take a look at my supra eibachs when i get home. Which tokicos do you have? They dont make the blue tokicos for the supra, so you might have the SC eibachs..

yeah, that's what i was looking for and found out that they dont have the blues for the supra.
the guy i bought this car from a while back told me that it was on supra suspension, so i went ahead and bought some supra eibachs, later to find out that i was on sc suspension instead... (Bummer)
now i have the choice of either

a) selling the springs i just got and get some other ones for the sc, that'll drop at least 1.75"

or

b) sell my suspension, and get some supra struts.

what do you guys think?

Will the top hat of an SC fit the supra suspension???

What other springs out there will drop the sc more than the eibach's instead of the Espilir's?

geez... what a waste of time last night haha...

Yes the top hats/hardware from the SC assemblies can be used on the supra springs/shocks.

is250, it says the 8222 so i did buy the supra suspension, and i am on sc suspension right now....
im either going to buy some supra struts or sell these supra springs i just bought and buy some new springs for the sc.
any springs that lowers the sc not as much as the espilir's but more than the eibachs?
man, supra struts must cost a pretty penny.

check supraforums.... I just saw a set of KYB AGX struts for $300 New. Just saw some Espilirs in the classifieds but im sure they wont last long since they go for $220 + ship on ebay.

I think you might be better off on Megan Coilovers or Tein basic. You can probably sell all the suspension parts you have to offset the costs.

I'm about to install H & R springs with Tokico adjustables, I will let you know tomorrow and post pictures of the drop. I'm not sure how low its going to be, but I am expecting something around what you want.
