stock shocks with lowering springs?
So i did a search and didnt find much.
Im looking for a stiffer suspension for some track/drifting and good cornering, but the previous owner just had shocks replaced 3k miles ago, so theyre basically brand new.
Are there any spring sets that will run with stock shocks without a problem and give me some semblance of what im looking for? If not, whats a good budget setup (not looking to spend the price of coilovers).

honestly, the best and cheapest thing you can do is probably just get some eibach springs, and they will make your stock ride a bit better handling, but even though, you will still pretty much need to upgrade your shocks sooner or later.
Or go with some Stock Supra suspension, its cheap and not bad at all, but then, why do that when you can get shocks and springs.
Save the money, and do it right because one way or another, you will always end up getting both anyways.

you can run supra springs on the supra shocks. tt spring shock combos come up quite often in the classifieds
not trying to be harsh but sounds like you need to do a little more research to figure out what you're looking for to meet your goals
this forum has alot of info you can search for to help you out

I have the Supra Bilstein HD's and stock Supra springs. I love em, but I'm not an expert as to how much performance advantage there is from SC stock. Lower for sure. If you are definately keeping the current shocks, I think you options are going to be really limited. Springs basically made for SC performance. Not a lot out there. I think a coilover or shock change may be in order for what you're looking for.

I have eibachs and stock shocks. I just purchased some new bilstien from the Supra TT. I know with the stock shocks and eibach(what I am on now) handles well with a proper alignment,(lance alignment specs) and it has a little too much body roll but it's not sloppy with it being un-controlled. That may have been that my shocks are worn out, but new might suffice. I would put on the eibachs and see. Im excited to put on the bilstiens and go racing see the diff from stock to bilstiens. I'll get back to you after this weekend.
I bought the bilstiens from

for $106 ea free shipping.
You can't go wrong with bilstien, their off the shelf shocks compete and win in races against cars with $20K+ race suspensions. If you want a cheap excellent quality race suspension Bilstien is your best friend. But honestly, I think a good alignment and a LSD (limited slip differential), some good brake pads/ducts and most important, a excellent set of tires will go farther than just a shock making your car track worthy. the aforementioned items I listed there would shave quite a bit of time on a well driven SC.

I tell you what, stock shocks and Espelir springs do not go well together! I am running some new OEM struts up front and they can't handle big bumps. As for the rear, I have new KYB GR2s and they take the same bump quite well.
