Default Vlamos steering rack bushings

Hello,

I need to replace the steering rack bushings in my 1992 SC400.

If I understand correctly, there are three bushings total.

Two would be Vlamos, and the third from Lexus.

I believe Vlamos does not offer this one. Will order from Carson.

Can anyone give me a source for the Vlamos bushings, and verify that my thoughts are correct?

Thanks,

Alan

Vlamos web site is vftbushes.com. He is in Australia. His bushings are rubber, like the OEM bushings -- which is a lot different than Daizen.

its not a question of better or worse. the rubber ones will ride softer and probably a bit quieter since they will dampen a lot of noise. the poly bushings from daizen, which if you didnt know are made by prothane(same PN on the bushing but cheaper), will ride a bit harsher but you will have better feel for the car and if you want to do anything performance oriented then thats your better bet.

I just had my steering rack bushing set replaced with the Daizen, and WOW what a difference. I highly recommend Daizen's products.

What kind of difference does it make? I'm thinking about starting to replace some of my bushings with their stuff, and was just curious exactly what kind of difference it makes?

I got it for 40 bucks the price thats on the link I posted above. And to answer 1985zcar question, the polyurethane bushings make the steering a hell of a lot more responsive especially if the current bushings are worn out.

Do the Daizen bushings make alot of road noise? and make driving harsher? or is it still the same comfort feel like a lexus?

To be honest my worn bushings made alot of clunking sound and made the steering almost dangerously unresponsive. After the Daizens the noise ceased and the steering was back to being Normal
