The 18" GS wheel has a pretty high +45 offset. It shouldn't have a problem clearing the stock LS brakes as the brakes on the GS350/430/460 and 450h are large.

BTW, there is no such thing as a BBK for the LS400 or a GS330.

i am really confused what setup you are trying to achieve here. ls400 stock brakes? if so i think the 3gs 18s should fit.

lol sorry, i got all my numbers mixed up.

the wheels are off a GS350

and the "bbk" upgrade is apparently a common set up that the 1991-2000 SC300/400 guys run. compared to our puny stock rotors and calipers, i guess it's considered a bbk

A BBK is something larger than stock, usually a 2 piece design. Stock brakes from another car are not BBK's.

IMO realistically they can certainly be considered under the same criteria unless you're picking nits. You're going from 2pot to 4pot setup, much larger calipers and ~ an inch larger rotors certainly are 'bigger' brakes even if they are not true big brakes My original Supra TT calipers for example required more wheel clearance room than my 355MM Brembo GT setup.

Trill, I *think* I've read that the GS350 brakes are the same as the IS350 brakes and know some of the same OEM wheels (like the G-spyder) can fit on both vehicles. See this thread for some that say they've done it with IS350 wheels
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=is350+ls400 another was going to do it https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=is350+ls400 etc. Search the SC forum for "IS350 LS400 brake" for more threads. Just make sure the wheels in question are for the IS350 / GS350 / GS460 and not the IS250 / GS300, which have smaller OEM brakes.

No one in the 3GS forum is going to have retrofitted old LS400 brakes on their new GS to try something like this to be able to answer your question, so I'm moving this to the SC forum with a more descriptive title.
