Default SC300 Rotors-Pads-Sources & DIY

I'm looking for new rotors for the front and rear of my 1996 SC300. What is a good source/vendor/retailer for those? Maybe the pads as well. I'm not looking for anything fancy just something like OEM that is good quality for the price.

I would also appreciate if you could point me in the direction of some good information on how do change the pads and rotors on a '96 SC300. I've found good info on the LS400 brakes but not so much for the SC...Thanks!

its real easy to change the pads and rotors on our cars. once you have your wheels off you only need to remove a couple bolts to switch out the pads or rotors. you might need a c-clamp to push the caliper piston back in so you can get it back on.

The pad changing sounds easy from this post - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=264937

but I'm still wondering about where to go for a good deal on the OEM-ish rotors and pads.

The MR2 community likes to use Napa blank rotors. They're super cheap (which leaves extra money for good pads) and I don't think anyone has ever reported cases of them cracking or warping. I've used them on both of my MR2s with good results. It would be worth checking out, I'm sure they have them for the SC.

There really isn't any reason to use cross drilled rotors on a street car unless you just want it for looks.
