Default Brake Problem

I just got a new IS350 and it has about 1500 miles. I noticed that when im going slow or in stop and go traffic that when i push the brake pedal down it lightly pulsates for about a 1/2 inch then moves down smoothly after that. It doesnt do it every time. More like every 2nd or 3rd time. Does anyone know what this might be?

You should try and bed the pads in if you haven't done it so. That should solve the problem. Here's a good info and procedure on bedding the brake pads properly. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedintheory.shtml

That didn't seem to help. I think its coming from the pedal itself. Anyone else have any ideas?

i think i know what you're talking about. does it feel like a very light vibration when you barely press on the pedal? my car did that when it was new, but it went away after a while. i also drove my friends new car too and the brake pedal did the same thing. i'm guessing its normal as everything is still new, and fitment is still pretty tight.

i DON'T remember the brakes vibrating when the car was new.

I DO, however, remember the car vibrating when i got to speeds above 90mph.

This was strange, but it stopped eventually.

There might be a problem with the ABS, if this keeps on happening, get it checked out, or the brake pads might be installed wrong.

Maybe a bolt is loose? Who knows. Keep an eye and hear and feel on it :P
