Why are you taking the upper arm out to get the coilovers out? The coilovers can be done without taking the arm off.

Matt.

Not sure what upper lower control arm bolt u are referring to but when I was replacing my lower control arms my bolt (camber bolt closest to firewall) was frozen same thing...I tried everything and ended up using a big freakin breaker bar and a steel tube to get the force and it broke it free but was a tight turn all the way til it came off. I also used alot of PB Blaster Spray. Took a while but finally came off. the bolt was toast but it came off.

I had the same problem on my is250 when i removed the coils, we took a torch and heated it up, came off in a jiffy. good luck. bolts are cheap. i bought a replacement from lexus for under 10 bucks for bolt and nut.

heat will work but be careful. if you get too crazy with it you may start torching the bushing inside.

Mapp gas is gonna take a while to get red hot. Better if you have access to anyone with a real torch if you don't.
