Tein SS coilovers???
Im trying to figure a way to lower my car some more!
My question is if i lower the SS's to there lowest possible, will it effect anything negativley? ( Like the strut)
And has anyone ever cut there coils on there coilover set up? if so is it a good idea or not?
Thanks for your input its greatly appriciated!

If the coilovers only have spring perch adjustment then you need to make sure that the spring stays captive at full droop.
I have Tein CST's and can't go all the way to the bottom of the adjustment as the spring doesn't stay in place.
You need to add helper springs if you start having captivity problems. It's quite dangerous if the springs can come unseated.
Matt.

^^^^tis right. man speaks the truth.
that pic is at full low? WEAK!!!
on my stance it can be touching the top of the fender well and still has about 2" of more low. kinda useless but its there.
my setup can go very low and is adjusted via the lower shock mount not the spring perch. thus helper springs are not needed at all. i still have them because i got them for free from Touge Factory, place where i bought my stuff.

im not saying that tein is junk nor am i saying that stance is the way to go. if i was seriously tracking a car i wouldnt go with either and invest in some "real coilovers". as far as street use, stance is better but tein is not bad. i personally dont like how it rides in comparison. im not a "stance guy". im a person that likes a good suspension for the money.

ion, did you get smaller front tires? i like your car alot, it's very simular to what i'm doing with mine, just keeping it low and clean.
here's mine on SS's without a full drop, after that pic i went lower

teins ss imo are not bad however the lower you drop it gets bouncier..
i think they are great for those riding 16,17,18,and even 19in wheels but when you go 20's forget it.. the springs are not 100% matched to the dampers to accomodate a low setting.. i dont beleive the dampers are a true short stroke so the low you go the less it controls the ocilating of the springs
the best setup you can go is any coilover that has sep adjustment for ride height and spring preload
i have the ss (for now) and on 20's front has about 8-10threads left and i am broken finger gap up front and almost zero in rear and 10-15 threads in rear to go lower
on 19's that will alittle less avail to drop and 18 even less
