Plus 1. My dealer said I could change out my '08 pads, as long as I didn't wait till 10k miles to do it.

Got a copy? I've been seeing claims the 08s were "recently added" almost since the 08 models came out, and nobody is ever able to prove it... dealership here still says they are -not- included so I'd love to be able to print out a copy of the TSIB covering 08s for em.

I'd be interested in knowing how those work for you. I tried them myself about 10 years ago and they made a horible noise when rubbing the calipers.

I have had no issues with the Akebono ceramic brakes on the front of the 350Z which is actually my son's (26 yrs old) daily driver. I actually own the car on paper although in essence it is his car and he pays the monthly loan payment and insurance. I will transfer ownership after it is paid off.

+1
I've been begging my dealer for this and they insist there is no '08 TSB. I got them to shut off the DRLs, which they said was illegal (it's not) but can't get them to do this!

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I'm interested in your experience with the "Kleen Wheels"

Yes, here's all the proof you need.

Thanks IS350jet. I know a LOT of 2008 owners are looking for this. I posted a new thread in the brake forum.

Probably, but they are vented. I will have the dealer put on the alternative brake pads at my 5k service

I wonder why Lexus just doesn't change the pads from the factory to the newer ones? Why go through the hassle of continuing to put TSIB's out to cover this 'problem'? They could easily change the stock pads (they have had multiple year change overs to do this). Or does Lexus engineering feel the best overall performance is given by the old, dusty pads? Enquiring minds want to know.
